Making websites that work

My portfolio: 25 years of website design

(1) The last few years

Screenshots are of the same page on devices of different widths.

A website for an online tutor based in Calpe. Website online

A website for a Calpe association. The private members’ area is a WordPress blog, for which I developed a tailored theme. Website online

A members’ website for a Costa Blanca golf club. For this WordPress site I not only created a tailored theme, but several stand-alone WordPress plugins. Website online

Another WordPress website (with a tailored theme) for a Rotary International Fellowship based in Moraira. (It is no longer on the Web.)

A website for an IKEA (plus) shopping, delivery & assembly service. It offered a real service, but IKEA themselves went into competition … The site is no longer on the Web, but is archived here.

Live the dream! Website online

A “single page” website for a London (UK) drone company. No longer online.

A box-office website for a Costa Blanca choir. No longer online.

A website for two creative tradespeople. (They closed their business in 2022.)

A website for an author of thrillers. (This site is off the Web while Judd recovers from a serious illness.)

A website for Jalón estate agents. No longer online.

A website for a flourishing small business on the Costa Blanca. (The owner closed the business in 2023.)

A website for a Calpe restaurant/takeaway. Website online

A website for a Calpe taxi company. This site is still using my database, my PHP code and my Javascript apps (with no benefit to me). But it is no longer using my home page, and is no longer responsive.

(2) : the “responsive” revolution on the Web took off in early 2012. Designers and developers like me began to design single sites which would work on a range of screen widths, from tiny mobile phones to wide-screen monitors. All the websites above are responsive.

Details of my ‘pre-revolution’ websites, which also used to be displayed here, are one by one being added to a new responsive page.
